Integrating your wishlist with Mailchimp allows you to automate highly targeted post-purchase and recovery email campaigns. By syncing real-time wishlist updates to Mailchimp via webhooks, you can automatically send personalized reminders that nudge customers to complete checkouts for their favorite saved items.

The integration automatically passes the following customer and product profile variables to your Mailchimp account properties:

Last Name
Product Image

Total Price
Variant Price
Variant Quantity
Variant Title
Vendor
Wishlist URL
Part 1: Generate Your Mailchimp API Key
To authorize the secure data bridge, you must first collect an active API key from your Mailchimp settings page:
Log in to your Mailchimp Admin Dashboard.
Click your Profile Icon in the top-right or bottom-left corner of the sidebar, and select Account & billing (or Profile).
Click the Extras dropdown menu in the sub-navigation bar and select API keys.
Scroll down to the Your API Keys section and click the Create A Key button.
Give your key a descriptive label (e.g.,
Hulk Advanced Wishlist) so you can recognize it later.Copy the newly generated full API key string, making sure to include your regional data center suffix at the end (e.g.,
-us4).
Part 2: Locate Your Mailchimp Data Identifiers
To properly route subscriber events, you must collect your unique account URL prefix and target Audience ID:
Extract Your Admin Prefix
Look at your web browser's address bar while logged into Mailchimp.
Copy the letters and numbers that appear at the very beginning of the URL right before
.admin.mailchimp.com. For example, if your dashboard URL is[https://us4.admin.mailchimp.com](https://us4.admin.mailchimp.com), your admin prefix value isus4.
Copy Your Audience ID
From the left-hand navigation sidebar in Mailchimp, click on the Audience icon.
If you have more than one contact list, click the audience dropdown selector and choose the target group you wish to sync.
Click the More options or Manage Audience dropdown menu on the right, then select Audience settings.
Look for the unique string labeled Audience ID (sometimes called List ID in external configurations) and copy it to your clipboard.
Part 3: Connect Advanced Wishlist to Mailchimp
Log in to your Shopify Admin and navigate to Apps > Hulk Advanced Wishlist.
Click on the Integrations tab from the top navigation panel.
Locate the Mailchimp Integration card option and switch the status toggle to Enabled.
Paste your copied credentials into their designated setup fields:
Mailchimp API Key
Admin URL Prefix
Audience ID
Mailchimp Account Email
Click Save to lock in your configuration.
Part 4: Monitor and Verify Your Synchronization Flow
To verify that customer data payloads are syncing across webhooks in real-time:
Return to your Mailchimp Admin dashboard.
Navigate to Audience > All contacts from the left-hand sidebar menu.
Audit your active contact profile properties or look for custom event metric labels tagged under Advanced Wishlist to ensure merge variables are logging successfully.
